4 weeks (post flare-up) exercises


The below are the exercises that Nick started post his flare-up as he approached his 5th week post-op. He will also start swimming again, and continue walking each day. He is aiming to do the below three times a day, although he will introduce the new exercises gradually.

  • Warm up on stationary bike, 5 mins
  • Standing hamstring stretches



  • Wobble board lunges, forwards and sideways

  • Ankle paddles, at 70, 30 and 10 degrees


  • Bent knee crucifix
  • Swiss ball arm swing
